Sabal etonia Swingle ex Nash (Arecaceae), accession number SV52 (N1-4). Scrub palmetto. Animation of digital images from 452 cross sections of a flower bud from a palm native to Florida. This specimen was collected from N.W. 3rd Ave. and 38th St. in Miami in 1944.
